The Israeli Knesset on Monday evening passed, in its first reading, a bill allowing the execution of Palestinian prisoners convicted of killing Israelis.
The vote, supported by 39 out of 120 members, sparked widespread Palestinian condemnation, with resistance factions calling it a dangerous escalation.
Hamas and Islamic Jihad said the law represents “legislation of organized collective killing,” while the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine described it as “a full-fledged war crime” reflecting the fascist nature of the occupation.
