Historic Saudi–Russian agreement for mutual visa exemption

Saudi Arabia and Russia signed an agreement for mutual visa exemption for holders of all types of passports — a first for the Kingdom, making Russia the first country granted this privilege for ordinary passport holders.

The signing took place during the Saudi–Russian Investment and Business Forum in Riyadh, attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

The agreement allows citizens of both countries to enter the other without a visa for visits, tourism, or business, reflecting a growing push to strengthen economic and humanitarian ties.
