Russia said on Saturday that two people were killed in a Ukrainian drone attack on a southern region, a day after seven others were wounded in a similar strike, while Ukraine said it had recaptured two villages in the Kharkiv region in the northeast.

Roman Busargin, governor of Russia’s Saratov region, said the attack followed an air raid alert for drones and caused damage to local infrastructure.
