Tunisia secured their first victory at the Africa Cup of Nations with a 3-1 win over Uganda on Monday in their Group C opener.
Ellyes Skhiri opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a header from a Hannibal Mejbri corner, before Youssef Achouri doubled the lead just before halftime following a well-worked move involving full-back Ali Abdi.
Achouri struck again in the 64th minute to make it 3-0 after pouncing on a defensive rebound, while Uganda pulled one back in stoppage time through Omedi.
The win puts Tunisia top of Group C with three points, ahead of Nigeria on goal difference, while Uganda and Tanzania remain without points.
