The Israeli occupation launched overnight air and artillery strikes targeting southern and central areas of the Gaza Strip early Wednesday, in a new violation of the ceasefire and UN Security Council resolutions.
Witnesses reported strikes near Israeli military deployment zones west of Rafah, while helicopters fired into the outskirts of the city.
Artillery fire also hit areas surrounding the Al-Bureij refugee camp.
No Palestinian casualties were confirmed, although the Israeli military claimed to have killed six Palestinians in Rafah on Tuesday, signaling ongoing escalation despite international pressure to maintain the truce.
