Egypt’s Ministry of International Cooperation announced that the country has received €1 billion from the European Union and is expected to receive a total of €3 billion in two additional tranches during 2026.
The ministry said the funds are part of a €5 billion macro-financial assistance package (approximately $5.82 billion) provided by the EU to support Egypt’s economy and enhance financial stability.
Egypt received the first tranche of the package in January 2025, while the remaining disbursements are scheduled in accordance with the agreed framework with the European side.
