U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to impose 100% tariffs on Canadian goods, accusing Canada of serving as a “backdoor” for Chinese products entering the U.S. market.

The warning followed Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney’s praise of a preliminary trade agreement with Beijing, amid escalating trade tensions between Washington and China.
