Israel’s public broadcaster said on Sunday that Israeli military chief of staff Eyal Zamir recently visited Washington, where he discussed the possibility of a strike against Iran with U.S. officials.
The broadcaster said military censors had now cleared the disclosure of Zamir’s visit, which took place over the weekend, adding that the trip occurred on Saturday local time in Israel.
It said Zamir held “intensive talks” with senior U.S. officials during a working visit to the United States.
According to the report, the prospect of a possible U.S. strike on Iran was among the issues discussed.
There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military or U.S. officials.
