Settlers Burn Parts of Mosque in West Bank, Graffiti Found on Walls

Israeli settlers set fire to parts of a mosque early on Monday in the town of Tal in the northern occupied West Bank and spray-painted graffiti on its walls, witnesses said. No injuries were reported.

Witnesses said the settlers entered the town west of Nablus and set fire to parts of the Abu Bakr al-Siddiq mosque, burning its entrance and causing damage from smoke to its facade.

They added that slogans in Hebrew were written on the mosque’s exterior wall.

Munir Ramadan, a local resident living near the mosque, said: “We arrived in the morning and found signs of fire inside the mosque. The flames had been extinguished, but parts of it were damaged. We also noticed offensive slogans written on the outer wall, including the name ‘Price Tag’.”

There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military.
