A British newspaper investigation said convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein hid computers and photographs from U.S. authorities in secret storage units across the United States.
The Telegraph reported it had obtained documents showing Epstein paid private investigators to move equipment from his Florida home in what it described as an effort to prevent authorities from locating it.
According to the newspaper, Epstein rented six storage units across the country to hold belongings, including computers from his private Caribbean island, Little Saint James. At least one unit had reportedly been rented since 2003.
Credit card receipts cited by the Telegraph showed storage payments continuing regularly until 2019, the year Epstein died in custody.
Search warrants reviewed by the newspaper indicated that U.S. authorities did not raid the storage units, raising the possibility they may contain undisclosed evidence related to Epstein and associates, including Prince Andrew.
The U.S. Justice Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
