China announced on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, that it will provide emergency humanitarian aid to several Middle Eastern countries, including Iran, Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq, amid an ongoing war in the region.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said during a press briefing that Beijing had decided to deliver urgent assistance, expressing hope that it would help ease humanitarian suffering faced by people in these countries.
The move comes as the Middle East continues to experience escalating conflict and rising numbers of casualties and displaced civilians.
