Iliana Yotova and her vice-presidential running mate Kiril Valchev reportedly won Bulgaria’s presidential election with 57.57% of the vote, according to final results attributed to the Central Election Commission on Monday.
The pair received 1,093,852 votes, compared with 750,251 votes, or 39.48%, for former prime minister Andrey Gyurov and his running mate Georgi Kandev.
Another 2.95% of voters supported neither ticket.
The result followed a runoff after no candidate secured more than 50% in the first round, held on October 25.
