Iran’s Army Commander-in-Chief Amir Hatami vowed on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, a “decisive” response to the killing of Supreme National Security Council secretary Ali Larijani in an Israeli airstrike.
In a statement, Hatami said Iran’s response would be “decisive and regret-inducing,” adding that “the blood of Larijani and other martyrs will be avenged.”
Meanwhile, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced it had launched a wave of ballistic missiles toward central Israel, saying the attack was carried out “in retaliation for the blood of martyr Dr. Ali Larijani and his companions.”
The developments come amid ongoing escalation between Iran and Israel in the region.
