The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said Iran’s Khondab heavy water complex is no longer operational after being hit by Israeli airstrikes last week.
In a statement on Sunday, the agency said its assessment was based on independent satellite imagery analysis, which showed that the site—formerly known as the Arak reactor—sustained severe damage.
The IAEA added that the facility does not contain any declared nuclear material.
Israel’s military had confirmed on Friday that it targeted the Arak reactor, describing it as a key site linked to the production of plutonium used in nuclear weapons.
