The Jordanian Armed Forces announced thwarting ten attempts to smuggle large quantities of narcotics across the northern and western borders, in what were described as high-quality operations.
The army stated that smugglers utilized electronically guided balloons and drones to evade surveillance efforts.
Border Guard units managed to intercept the devices and seize more than 1.5 million narcotic pills and 100 slabs of hashish, which were handed over to the relevant authorities for legal action.
