The Israeli military on Monday warned Lebanese residents against returning to around 80 villages and areas in the south, despite a ceasefire that has been in effect for four days.
In a statement, the army said it continues to maintain its positions in southern Lebanon “in response to ongoing terrorist activities by Hezbollah,” as it described.
It added that “until further notice,” civilians are instructed not to move south of a line encompassing dozens of villages, including Majdal Zoun, Yater, Srifa, Shaqra, Marjayoun, and Kfar Shouba.
The military also warned against approaching areas near the Litani River, Wadi al-Salouqi, and Wadi al-Sahlani in southern Lebanon.
The warning comes amid continued tensions despite the ceasefire, raising concerns about stability along the border.
