Mexico head coach Javier Aguirre has named a squad of 12 domestic league players for a training camp as preparations begin for the 2026 World Cup.
He also called up eight additional players from the local league, who are not expected to be part of the final squad, to complete the group for the camp starting on May 6.
The selections mean several players will miss the Liga MX knockout stage, set to begin this weekend.
Clubs affected include Cruz Azul, Pumas UNAM, Club América, Guadalajara, and reigning champions Toluca.
