The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned an attack that targeted an electricity generator outside the inner perimeter of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in Al Dhafra using a drone, confirming that no injuries or radiation effects were recorded.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said targeting peaceful nuclear facilities constitutes a serious violation of international law and a threat to regional and international security.

Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi also condemned the attack, affirming the GCC states’ solidarity with the UAE in confronting any threat to its security and sovereignty.
