Pakistan announced what it described as “promising progress” toward reaching a final understanding between the United States and Iran following talks held by Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir in Tehran.
The Pakistani military stated that intensive consultations over recent hours focused on supporting regional stability and accelerating efforts aimed at securing an agreement.
For his part, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said Tehran remains “very far and very close” to an agreement at the same time, while U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the chances of reaching a deal or launching a severe strike against Iran were “exactly equal.”
