Bloomberg reported that Pakistan believes the United States and Iran are moving closer to reaching an understanding on peace, while Qatar said negotiations between Tehran and Oman over the Strait of Hormuz had reached a “critical juncture.”

Meanwhile, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, made a series of appointments to six senior positions in the armed forces and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, including the posts of chief of staff and commander of the Guard, to fill leadership positions that had remained vacant following US and Israeli occupation strikes since the outbreak of the war.
