Bahrain announced on Saturday that its territory had been targeted by several Iranian drones, accusing Tehran of undermining peace efforts following the first exchange of strikes between the United States and Iran since the signing of their memorandum of understanding.

In a statement, Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the early morning drone attack on Saturday, June 27, 2026, describing it as a blatant violation of the country’s sovereignty.

The ministry stressed that Bahrain reserves the right to take all necessary measures to protect its security and sovereignty, while calling for respect for international law and efforts to reduce regional tensions.
