Five people were killed on Monday in a shooting incident in the city of Stade, west of Hamburg, in northern Germany.

Police arrested a suspect in connection with the attack, which occurred near a youth facility in the city center.

Authorities said the motive remains unknown and urged residents to avoid the area while investigations and security operations continue.
