The death toll in the town of Mashghara in Lebanon’s western Bekaa region has risen to 12 after rescue teams completed debris removal following Israeli airstrikes, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency.

Initial reports had indicated five fatalities before the toll was updated to 12 as search operations continued.

Israeli warplanes also targeted towns in southern Lebanon, including Srifa, Shehour, and Arzoun, destroying the home of the mayor of Arzoun.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced an expansion of military operations against Hezbollah amid continued field escalation.
