The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Ministry of Defense announced that the Israeli military carried out an airstrike on the Gaza Strip targeting Mohammed Odeh, a senior figure in Hamas’ Al-Qassam Brigades who recently assumed a leadership role within the group’s military wing.

A joint statement said Odeh had participated in planning the October 7, 2023, attack and previously served as head of military intelligence within the movement’s armed wing.

Hamas has not issued any official comment, while his fate remains unclear amid the absence of independent confirmation regarding whether he was killed, injured, or survived.
