Iraq Finalizes Preparations for the 2026 World Cup with Training Camp in Spain

Iraq national team coach Graham Arnold has revealed the preparation program for the “Lions of Mesopotamia” ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will take place during a training camp in Girona, Spain, starting on May 22.

The program includes three friendly matches against Andorra, Spain, and Venezuela before the team travels to the United States for the tournament.

Arnold confirmed that the camp will be decisive in selecting the final 26-man squad.

Iraq has been drawn into a challenging group featuring France, Senegal, and Norway, marking the nation’s second-ever World Cup appearance after Mexico 1986.
