The Paris Public Prosecutor’s Office has opened a judicial investigation into American billionaire Elon Musk and his platform X over allegations related to the dissemination of illegal and misleading content.

The investigation includes suspicions linked to the artificial intelligence chatbot “Grok,” including the publication of child exploitation material and denial of crimes against humanity.

French authorities had already launched a preliminary investigation last year following complaints filed by MP Éric Bothorel, and searched the company’s Paris offices in February after Musk and Linda Yaccarino failed to comply with judicial summonses.
