Kuwait announced a reduction in the size of the Iranian diplomatic mission and the expulsion of two Iranian diplomats in protest over missile and drone attacks that allegedly targeted civilian and strategic facilities in the country.
The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry stated that it had delivered an official protest note to the Iranian chargé d’affaires and demanded that the diplomats concerned leave the country within 24 hours.
The decision follows an attack that, according to Kuwaiti authorities, left one person dead and dozens injured. Tehran has not yet issued an official response.
