FIFA has announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Qatar’s Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, enabling Qatari professionals to participate in organizing the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The agreement aims to transfer the operational expertise Qatar gained during the successful organization of the 2022 World Cup and other international sporting events.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino praised Qatar’s experience as a global benchmark in managing major sporting events, highlighting the country’s expertise in infrastructure, fan experience, and technological innovation.
