Qatar confirmed that mediation efforts between the United States and Iran were continuing, with both sides reviewing proposals for an interim agreement amid warnings that military escalation could complicate negotiations.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed al-Ansari said proposals were still being exchanged and that Doha believed a deal remained possible.
He added that Qatari negotiators returned from Tehran on Monday after more than three hours of talks with Iranian officials.
The mediation, coordinated with Pakistan, Gulf countries, and international partners, seeks confidence-building measures that could lead to a temporary understanding and further negotiations.
Qatar did not announce any breakthrough.
