Americans headed to the polls on Tuesday in congressional midterm elections, with Republicans and Democrats competing for control of both chambers and the outcome expected to shape President Donald Trump’s legislative agenda during his remaining two years in office.
Voters are choosing all 435 members of the House of Representatives and filling 35 Senate seats.
According to the polling assessments cited, Democrats were favored to win a House majority, while the Senate contest remained close.
Key voter concerns included living costs, rising fuel prices, the consequences of the conflict involving Iran, and the effects of tariffs introduced by the Trump administration.
