Morocco’s capital, Rabat, hosted the first session of the Mediterranean Antalya Climate Dialogues on Wednesday, an initiative launched by the Union for the Mediterranean and the Turkish presidency of COP31, which is scheduled to take place in Antalya this November.

The initiative aims to develop a unified Mediterranean vision for addressing climate change and prepare a joint memorandum to be presented during the conference.

Participants stressed that the Mediterranean is among the regions most affected by rising temperatures, drought, wildfires, and floods, highlighting the need for stronger regional cooperation and accelerated climate action.
