The Croatian Football Federation announced the resignation of head coach Zlatko Dalić, ending his nine-year tenure after Croatia’s elimination from the Round of 16 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Dalić is regarded as one of Croatia’s most successful coaches, having guided the team to the 2018 World Cup final, third place in 2022, and the UEFA Nations League final in 2023.

He managed Croatia in 111 matches, recording 62 wins, 20 draws, and 29 defeats.
