Three Palestinians, including an eight-year-old child, were killed and five others injured on Monday after an Israeli drone strike targeted the area near Wadi Al-Salqa Bridge on Al-Baraka Street in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza.

The attack struck the vicinity of the bridge, killing three people and wounding five others, who were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

The latest casualties raise the death toll since the ceasefire of October 11 to 1,048, while the number of injured has exceeded 3,372. Authorities also reported that 786 bodies have been recovered.
