Spanish police said on Tuesday that at least two people were killed and four others injured in a shooting in the city of El Ejido in southern Spain during the night, adding that a suspect has been arrested.

A spokesperson for the Spanish Civil Guard said the two victims were known to the suspect, without providing further details.

The newspaper El País reported that two of the injured are under 18, according to the news agency Reuters.
