Brazilian star Neymar Jr. has returned to the Brazil national team squad for the FIFA World Cup, as announced by coach Carlo Ancelotti on Monday.
Questions had surrounded Neymar’s (34) participation in the tournament held in North America due to concerns over his fitness, after a season marked by injuries with Santos.
Neymar, who has not played for Brazil since 2023, featured in 15 matches for Santos this season.
Brazil’s all-time top scorer with 79 goals will take part in his fourth World Cup, after previously playing in the 2014, 2018, and 2022 editions.
