Ukraine Launches Large-Scale Drone Attack on Oil Facilities Near St. Petersburg

Ukraine launched another drone attack targeting Russian oil facilities on the Baltic Sea near St. Petersburg, Russian authorities said on Saturday.

Leningrad Region Governor Alexander Drozdenko said air defenses intercepted 67 drones, while debris from some of them fell in the port of Vysotsk on the Gulf of Finland, home to a major oil loading terminal.

Videos circulating on Russian and Ukrainian Telegram channels suggested that a private oil terminal in St. Petersburg may have been damaged, although city authorities have not commented.

Russia’s Defense Ministry confirmed the attacks in the Leningrad region and said 389 Ukrainian drones were intercepted across various parts of the country overnight.
