US Senate Rejects Resolution to Halt Military Operations Against Iran

The U.S. Senate on Wednesday rejected a resolution aimed at halting military operations against Iran, reflecting broad Republican support for President Donald Trump’s policies in the region.

A total of 51 senators, including one Democrat, voted against the measure, while 46 supported it, including one Republican.

The vote marks the fifth time this year that the Senate has opted not to assert its war powers, effectively granting the White House greater authority over military actions.

The decision drew criticism from Democrats, who described the conflict as “illegal and lacking justification.”
