Yemen: Death Toll From Houthi Attack on Security Camp Rises to 73 as Humanitarian Crisis Worsens in Taiz

Yemeni authorities in Shabwah Governorate announced on Tuesday that the death toll from a Houthi attack on a security camp had risen to 73, while 14 others remained missing.

Meanwhile, in Taiz, southwestern Yemen, Human Rights Watch warned of deteriorating humanitarian conditions, reporting a 50% reduction in water supplies and highlighting the risk of hospitals running out of medicines, oxygen and fuel.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) reported that more than 250,000 people had been displaced since the latest military escalation began in July, with 76% of those displaced originating from Taiz Governorate.

Local authorities also reported that one civilian had been killed and seven others injured in Houthi shelling of residential neighborhoods in the city.
