Yemen: Houthis Claim Attacks on Saudi Targets as Army Reports Deaths of Two Officers in Taiz

Yemen’s Houthi movement announced that it had carried out four operations involving ballistic missiles and drones over 48 hours, claiming to have targeted Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense in Riyadh, King Fahd and Abha airports, and a Saudi Aramco facility in Yanbu.

The group threatened to continue its attacks until the military escalation ends and the blockade is lifted.

The Houthis also accused Saudi Arabia of conducting more than 2,900 airstrikes and missile attacks over the preceding 100 days.

In Taiz, the Yemeni army announced that two officers and several other military personnel had been killed in clashes with Houthi forces.

Meanwhile, the European Parliament called for the Houthi movement to be added to the list of designated terrorist organizations and for its financial assets to be frozen, amid growing concerns over maritime security in the Red Sea.
