Fresh clashes erupted Saturday between the Thai and Cambodian armies despite a ceasefire agreement signed in July.
The Thai military reported that Cambodian forces fired light weapons and shells at positions in Ubon Ratchathani province, with no reported casualties.
Cambodia’s Defense Ministry accused Thai troops of mortar and rifle fire near the border.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the ceasefire while trading accusations of escalation.
