The Israeli military announced on Sunday that a captain was killed and a soldier wounded during fighting in southern Lebanon despite the ceasefire framework agreement remaining in effect.

The military identified the officer as a platoon commander in the 12th Battalion of the Golani Brigade.

Meanwhile, Lebanon’s Ministry of Health said the death toll from Israeli attacks since March has risen to 4,247, with 12,195 people injured, amid continued Israeli violations of the agreement.
