Police in the Chinese coastal city of Xiamen have announced rewards of up to $1,400 for information leading to the arrest of 18 Taiwanese military officers accused of orchestrating psychological warfare and separatist propaganda campaigns.
Beijing accuses the officers of spreading messages deemed “hostile to national unity,” following Taipei’s pledge to strengthen its air defenses amid escalating threats from China.
The move comes as military and political tensions between the two sides continue to intensify.
