Mazloum Abdi, commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, announced a preliminary agreement with Syria’s transitional authority to integrate SDF fighters into the Ministries of Defense and Interior, under U.S. and French mediation.

Abdi said the talks in Damascus aim to secure Kurdish rights within a decentralized political framework, following the failure of a similar accord signed in March with interim president Ahmad al-Shar’a.
