Heavy rainfall and flash floods across several parts of Syria left one person dead and forced approximately 375 families to evacuate affected displacement camps, according to the Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management.
The evacuations included 200 families from the Sahlat al-Banat camp, 100 from the Al-Younani camp and 75 from the Al-Maqas camp.
The floods also damaged 105 homes, including 50 in Raqqa, 30 in Tabqa, 15 in Tal Abyad and 10 in Mansoura.
Seven bridges, culverts and unpaved roads were rendered unusable, including three bridges in Deir ez-Zor and its surrounding countryside.
Emergency teams received approximately 200 reports and responded to about half of them, while rescue and relief operations continued in the affected areas.
Authorities urged residents to avoid traveling through flood-hit locations because of continuing safety risks.
