French authorities reported a major jewelry theft at the Louvre Museum in Paris early Sunday, with robbers stealing priceless artifacts from the Apollo Gallery in a seven-minute operation.
Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez confirmed the jewels were “beyond valuation,” and the Culture Ministry has launched an urgent investigation.
President Emmanuel Macron vowed to recover the stolen artworks and bring the perpetrators to justice. The thieves reportedly used a crane and power tools to breach display cases before escaping.
