The European Union approved its 19th sanctions package against Russia on Wednesday, intensifying pressure over the war in Ukraine.
The measures include export restrictions on technology and energy, as well as asset freezes targeting Russian companies and officials.
The European Commission said the goal is to “weaken Russia’s war machine” and cut its military financing, in coordination with Western allies.
Meanwhile, Russia launched major airstrikes overnight on Kyiv, Odesa, and Zaporizhzhia, killing six people, including children.
