Experts appointed by the United Nations Human Rights Council condemned the U.S. naval blockade of Venezuela, describing it as “unlawful armed aggression” that violates international law.

The experts noted that since August, the United States has deployed a large fleet in the Caribbean and targeted boats it accuses of drug trafficking, in strikes that have reportedly killed more than 100 people so far.
