A Tunisian appeals court on Tuesday evening upheld a two-year prison sentence against Abir Moussi, leader of the opposition Free Destourian Party, in a case filed by the Independent High Authority for Elections.

According to private radio station Mosaique FM, the criminal chamber of the Tunis Court of Appeal confirmed the initial ruling sentencing Moussi to two years in prison, noting that she retains the right to challenge the decision before the Court of Cassation.
