The Tunisian Football Federation announced on Sunday the termination of head coach Sami Trabelsi’s contract and that of his technical staff following Tunisia’s exit from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The decision came after Tunisia’s loss to Mali on penalties in the round of 16, after performances that fell short of fans’ expectations.

The federation is preparing to appoint a new coach ahead of the upcoming World Cup, where Tunisia will compete in Group F alongside the Netherlands, Japan, and a team qualified through the European playoffs.
