Chairman of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council Rashad al-Alimi said the takeover of military camps in Hadramout and Al-Mahra was carried out swiftly and efficiently, describing it as a pivotal step toward restoring state authority.

His remarks came after the Hadramout governor announced full restoration of control over the governorate following the withdrawal of Southern Transitional Council forces.

The governor said a new phase based on consensus is beginning, with airports set to resume operations, the air ban to be lifted, and a committee formed to assess damage to public and private property.
